Adjustments made easy

My dad (84 years old) is having difficulties handling his hearing aids which are very small and even more expensive. He has large hands and fairly stubby and stiff fingers.
Any suggestions for an accesory or even a hearing aid that would make it easy for him to adjust his hearing hearing aids? The simpler the better.
Thanks.

I have had a set of in the ear hearing aids in the past that had a remote control. I found it too large to carry in my pocket and really after the novelty of it faded, I didn't use it almost ever.
I could see a need for one if you absolutely had those little itty bitty hearing aids that go way down in your ear. they are so small that there is no room in the aid to put control on. But if the aids are big enough to have adjustments on them, it is certainly easier to just push a button on the aid than to have another gadget to haul around with you all the time.

I would suggest that you use a remote control. I wasn't going to get anything other than just the aids due to cost but my audiologist showed me how it worked and its awesome! I would recommend the remote to anyone and everyone.
It makes changing the programs and adjusting the volume simple and easy. Some also have a button that freezes a current setting in the program.
They're not too expensive and they make a HUGE difference!!!
