Stereo or Mono neckloops

I've been hearing about amplified neckloops that supposedly "work with" mp3 players, and have a "stereo plug." But nothing I've heard says whether the signal provided is monural or stereo. Anyone know?
I'm an electronics tech, and I don't understand how a neckloop could possibly be stereo, but I guess that's what they pay engineers to invent.
I've got a pair of non-amplified earhooks. The volume is outstanding, and the fidelity is acceptable. They drive me crazy because they're so light and won't want to stay in place. They're fine when I'm sitting in one place, but that's about it. I was hoping to find a good neckloop that would be more functional.
Or does anybody have a better idea? I've never used the DAI ports but I've heard they're pretty fragile. I'd like something thats durable, and I can take on and off quickly and easily and without wearing out plugs, etc....
Thanks!

THe only kind of neckloops I've heard of are mono. I have the CLA7 amplified neckloop and I really like it a lot. It delivers what is referred to as "merged mono" sound, I think. The sound isnt as rich as listening in stereo, but when I use the CLA7, I really don't feel like I'm missing anything.
I understand your aggrivation with music links. They do sound great, but they won't stay in place. I've long thick hair, and they're knocked off my ears almost immediately whenever I try and use them. You might try looking into the HATIS Epic. Its a product pretty similar to music links, but the HATIS products are much bigger, heavier and chunkier so I think that they would stay in place better. I don't know if the Epic delivers stereo sound either though. The biggest drawback is that they're very expensive in comparison to music links.
