Average length of charge?

I have a charger for my Pure aids and I'm wondering what the average time is for the batteries to hold their charge. I sometimes have long days, like 16 hours or so and my HA keep closing down. Is this common or is there something wrong with my charger/batteries?

Just carry extra 312 batteries for those long days since your aids can use either rechargable or standard.

I use rexton cobalt 16s. They last like 18 hours or so when I wear them all the way till the run out. Its a surprisingly short time, unfortunately. It also probably depends on the brand and quality of the rechargables that you have.

I use my Pures about 14 to 16 hours a day and I haven't had any problems yet. BUt I do sitll carry 312s as back up just in case. The brand name of my rechargables is "power one" ACCU plus nickel-metal-hydride, (p312accu) A division of VARTA. THey're supposed to last one year. Make sure that you put the aids all the way in the bottom of the charging receptical to make sure that the batteries are actully charging fully. Once I didn't put one in quite right and so it didnt charge fully while the other one did because I put it in right. My charger has a light the goes solid when the charge is complete and blinks when its still charging.

I used to use a charger for about a year but I found that the charge would last a shorter and shorter time as the year progressed. They got to the point that if I used them past 8 or 9, like if I had guests or something, the batteries would get to the point of needing to be recharged. I programmed a power bar so that they wouldn't start charging til 1, since I have to get up at 6 (they take 5 hours to charge). It got to be such a pain that I finally gave up and just switched to using throw-aways which last almost 2 weeks. Either way, make sure you open the HA whenever you're not using them and the batteries will last longer.
