No low battery beep

I've owned the HA's since late october. In the begining i received a 30 second warning beep before the aid died, but,now all I receive is the "I am dead" beep... and then it dies after the beep. to me this seems abnormal but i am far from an expert. Is this normal?
it is possible that this is normal, but i am not certain. I have had several different batteries act as you are describing and others have died with no so much as a beep at all.
Have you been using the same brand of batteries during both "I am dead" beep and the 30 minute warning beep?
