With all the eco-friendly rechargeable batteries out there, I was wondering if anyone has heard of rechargeable hearing aid batteries.

Yes, they do. Its available in the new GN ReSound Pulse Hearing Aid. The hearing aid has a built in rechargable battery. Also, Siemens has introduced rechargable batteries in their Pure products.

Rechargeable hearing aid batteries. It sounds like a great concept, as long as the batteries last a reasonable time before requiring recharging. The rechargeable battery for sizes 10, 13, 312 and 675 are charged using a "card charger" or "pen charger" which runs on rechargeable batteries. Duracell Activair EASY TAB Zinc Air Hearing Aid Batteries. EASY TAB is the simple solution for changing hearing aid batteries. Bigger is better. The extra long tabs make it easier to handle and place the battery into your hearing aid unit.
