Rechargable or non-rechargable

Are there any problems with HAs with rechargeable batteries? We are purchasing some HA's for my mother and before chosing I am doing some research. I'm thinking a rechargeable set like the Siemens RIC 700 would be a good option because her hands are not very steady or nimble and it might be difficult for her to change batteries. Does anyone have experience with both rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries?

I've used both. I've charged them every night and also change the batteries every few days and I would say that I'm still on the fence. I really like having batteries that are fully charged every day without having to worry much about them quiting on me at a critical time. But sometimes it is nice to just take them off, open the battery doors, and put them aside before going to bed, or putting them in the Dry and Store for a good drying.

I have to charge my GN ReSound Pulse aids for 5 hours in order to get about 24 hours of battery life. Every once in a while one of my batteries will die before I've worn them for the average 16 hours or so that I wear the aids. Also when I use the charger, the Dry and Store does not get used.

Apparently Siemens has a charger that is combined with a dry and store device so you recharge and dry out the aids at the same time. If that works, it seems like that would be the best option.
