Comfortable molds

Has anyone worn different hearing aid styles and would know which are the most comfortable and sound the best? I have been wearing BTEs for about 2 years and I am wondering if they are a good choice foas far as comfort goes. I have tried 3 differnt types of molds and am now trying the acrylic skeleton. I find that they can hurt the ears after a few hours. I found that my ears can feel plugged with other styles of molds. I am thinking of going back to full shell ITEs for both comfort and that sound is closer to the ear. Has anyone tried both and have a preference or any helpful tips? Thanks.

I've worn both ITE and BTE aids in the last 5 years, and I found that the BTE aids with the mold in the ear were more comfortable. I did find that after a while they felt uncomfortable on the outside of my ear. When I had ITE aids, I usually would take them out at lunch time when I was at my desk, and clean them, meanwhile giving my ears a rest. I could wear the BTEs without that lunchtime rest and not have comfort issues at all.

I now have a pair of GN Resound Pulse's (312 battery size) with thin tubes and tulip domes, and wear them all day and have absolutely no discomfort. I can go 16 hours with no problems, and mostly forget that I even have aids in.
