Phone work with aids?

I have difficulty hearing women & children's voices, when I'm on the phone, and in noisy situations. I'm planning on trying hearing aids because I'm curious to see how much difference they make. I'm concerned though that open-fit BTE aids will impede telephone use. Will I be able to just hold the phone to my ear? Thanks.
There is a lot of technology available which puts the call directly into your HA's from your phone usually using bluetooth or telecoil. You can also just move the phone up a little higher so that it's more lined up with your BTE then your actual ear canal.
Results will depend on your personal situation and which model of HA you use. Ask your audiologist which would work better for you, they will best be able to help and advise you.
