cancic fix feedback problem?

hello everyone,

I have been wearing the gn resound canta 7's for several years. they have been my first digital hearing aids and had great feedback suppression. Recently I have been trying the Phonak Audeo SMART IX open fits which also seem to have good feedback suppression however, I honestly can not seem to detect any big improvement.

the main problem i'm experiencing is a warbling type effect during entertainment such as certain music (The band all-american rejects and their music is a fine example) as well as several voices. My audiologist has attempted turning the feedback suppression down or off. This causes the entrainment to go away where it was before ,however, i receave bad feedback in several other situations and different music has a ever-present monotone whistling or whining taht can be heard in the background.

Im thinking about taking back the Phonak hearing aids and instead trying some cic's . Do cic's have a not as hard time with feedback suppression because they are not as close to things like hands, hair, pillows, etc.? Are cic's less entrainment-prone?

thank you everyone!
