Review for $15 aid

I am asking about those ITE hearing aids that cost like $15 and are sold by some mail-order company. Has anyone here used them? What's the difference between these cheap aids and the more expensive ones we buy? How does it sound? Does it even amplify any sound at all?

I'm curious how it is that these things can be so much cheaper... Plus my aid is not working quite right and I don't really have the money right now to get a new one so I'm thinking about getting one of those cheapo things if they have potential to help at all while I save the money for a real aid.

Your aid can likely can be repaired unless it is truely ancient. Repairs will likely cost $100-$300, depending on where you have it repaired.

I have to believe taht even an aid that is 15 year old and analog that's been set up for you would be better then a poor quality, generic, mailed aid that is so cheap it only costs $15. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for.
