Aids setting off metal detectors

I'm thinking that my hearing aids are going to set off metal detectors so I'm just wondering how y'll deal with that.
Do you just take them off to pass through the detector? Do you simply set them on the moving conveyor belt? Since they are so small and valuable, this makes me a little nervous.

I've never taken off my aids to go through a detector and I've never had any problems setting off the detector while I was wearing my aids.

I've been through multiple airports over the past few months and havn't ever had any trouble setting off the metal detector with my hearing aids or even stents or surgery staples.

Not only have I never set off a metal detector due to my aids but I've never even heard of a HA setting it off.
I have another question though. Anyone turn their aids off when they request shutting off all electronic devices?

I haven't ever turned off my aids for flying. I don't think I would turn the Tek off either, I do turn my cellphone off. The Tek has to be pretty close to the hearing aids to be of any use so the signal strength isn't very strong. Shouldn't have any effect on the flight instruments, I doubt it would even be detected by them.

I don't turn off my aids but I do turn my bluetooth off for my Oticon Streamer.
