Ears itchy from aids

I have been wearing Oticon hearing aids for about 6 months. They work great, but in the last few weeks my ears have gotten pretty itchy when the aids are in and, sometimes afterwards too if they've been in my ears for awhile. Does anyone have any solutions for this or know why my ear is itching? I'm wondering if I maybe got something like an infection of some sort. About the time I started having trouble with it, I had had four pretty long flights over the span of about a week. My ears popped constantly during the flights, that has been the only thing thats been different so thats why I'm thinking it may have something to do with it.

The HAs are probably not causing the itchiness, its probably due to moisture. Moisture provides a great (or awful) place for growing bacteria and fungi. Showering, face-washing and perspiration coupled with contaminated hearing aids are generally the main causes for moisture in the ear.
I'd suggest buying a Dry-and-Store, the one with the UV light. Also get some appropriate ear drops, and plug your ears while showering to keep your ears dry and clean. This will go a long way in preventing extended periods of moisture which can cause problems.
