Which Oticon Aid Should I buy?

I recently got a hearing test and was told that I need a hearing aid. They recommended I purchase either an Oticon Delta or an Epoq, and there was a large price difference. I was wondering if the Oticon Epoq was that much better than the Oticon Delta.

Should I consider another brand that is less expensive?

Can you tell us a little more about your hearing loss?

I was told I had a moderate high frequency hearing loss in both of my ears.

It depends on how much control you want over your hearing aid and what features you want. With the Epoq, you can wirelessly stream your iPod, cellphone, TV, computer, and just about any other Bluetooth device through your hearing aids. With the Delta, things are done more automatically. Both of those hearing aids are very good, although I would go for the Delta 8000 over the 4000 or 6000 - it has better noise management and feedback controls. Both hearing aids are fairly expensive. What I would do is try the Delta first since it is less expensive and see if you are happy with it. You should get at least 30 days to try it out. If you are not pleased try the Epoq. Make sure you go to a professional that gives you at least 30 days to try it out AND no penalty for trying new hearing aids.
