When I visited one of the local HA places to ask about the Nadia, the Exelia was recomended.
What are your opinions on which one should I choose?

Go with the Naida. If you are in a lot of background noise you would probably benefit from the directional microphones on the Naida V. If you aren't in a lot of background noise then the Naida III would be good.

The last time I asked my audi she said to go with a smartlink and a Phonak Extra 411 instead. The extra 411 was not loud enough but the smartlink sounded good for cellphone use.
I think I will try the nadia V with a MLX10 to link to the smartlink sx

Good idea - a lot of people fit with that aid really like it a lot, but I would be interested to see how someone with only one good ear does with it- let us know how it works for you.

I have normal hearing at lower frequencies, therefore a BTE is a good fit for me. I tried closed-fit but the occlusion effect made lower-frequencies so loud and masked higher frequencies severely. I am now wearing the open fit Exelia HA's and they have no gain at all for frequencies at 2000 Hz, my natural hearing is fully adequate for these.
One of the features of the Exelia's that peaked my interest was being able to input an external audio source (iPod, CD-player, PC streaming fron the Internet) into the iCom and hear it---in high-quality stereo sound---through the HAs.
