All Audeo models are CRT (Canal Resonance Technology) which is the same as RIC. The merits of RIC aids are that the sound is the highest possible fidelity. The cons of RIC is that they are easily plugged with anything from moisture/sweat to ear wax so the maintenance is higher than on non RIC aids. Having worn aid for almost 20 years I like them to be as easy to get alone with as possibly and prefer non RIC aids.
