Buying online

I'm 63 and starting to have normal, age-related hearing loss. My audiogram shows the lowest point is 40 db at 4000 hz. I find myself saying "What?" to my wife and others a little too much.
I went to a local audi and they recommend the ReSound Plus 5 which appears to be a reasonable choice. It costs $1500 per aid which includes programming, free calibration and repairs, trial period of 30 days, and insurance against loss/damage, etc.
It seems that I can get the same product on the internet for about $895 per ear at precisehearing.com. The dfference in price of $1300 is a lot of money to me. Especially since my wife most likely needs a pair, aswell.
Heres my questions:
--Will I have difficulties if I need repair, recalibration, etc. if I buy online?
--Will local dealers provide those services if I didn't make the purchase from them?
--Is it possible to get repair and calibration services through the mail? If yes, who and how reliable are they?
--Is precisehearing.com a good dealer to purchase from?

I've purchased from precisehearing.com and they are a very reputable company in my opinion. Most local audiologists will provide service for a fee, but you may want to check on that at the companies around you. If you're trying you keep costs down, buying online is a great way to go.
