Phonak dome troubles

I got a new Phonak Audeo Yes V (SIE) about a week ago. When I put the dome in my ear my ear feels full of water and I hate the feeling of chewing and even walking can be uncomfortable(my footfalls sound abnormally loud). I had my first adjustment yesterday and I asked the audiologist how far the dome should go in and he said "as far in as you can with it still being comfortable". The problem is, that unless it's barely in my ear it's never comfortable so it's not making a proper seal and I've been having a lot feedback issues.

How do you handle these? I've worn CIC's for the last 6 years and so far I'm not impressed with the new design, there's not even a vent so that you don't get that plugged feeling like CIC's have.

I had the same problem with my domes and my audi gave me a smaller size dome and it fixed the problem. You might want to try that, though I don't know if that will necessarily solve your problem, I just know it solved mine!

I went from ITE aids to tulip domes too, at first I had plugged ear canal feeling, after a little bit though my voice's natural sound came back, and I got used to the tulip domes.

I got new aids about a year ago but last week when I put my old aids with tulip domes back in for a bit just for fun and I again had that stuffed feeling, it was even worse than when I first went from ITe aids to tulip domes.

I push the tulip domes in as far as possible, until the tube touches my ear canal. It usually works it's way back out a little until it's pretty comfortable and stays there. Sometimes I have to push it back in a little after eating or talking to someone for a while.

I had this problem and my audi fit me for custom molds which feel similar to CICs.
