PURE from Siemens is the latest in hearing aid technology that not only boasts a discreet design, but it is also unparalleled in sound amplification and signal-processing technology. This new device enables wearers to access Bluetooth-enabled devices wirelessly, including phones and MP3 players.

Does anyone use Siemens Pure? If so what are your thoughts or concerns. What about the Siemens Tek connect- Is anyone using that?

The Siemens Pure is one of the best hearing aids out there in my opinion. The TEK remote works wonderfully - and the little bluetooth transmitter transmits sounds from any non-bluetooth device such as a TV. There is nolag time in transmission. The Pure is small, very powerful, water resistant, has a very natural sound, and it is Bluetooth enabled in both behind the ear and CIC(completely in canal) styles. It can be expensive , but its a great little hearing aid with great connectivity.
Siemens did just recently come out with a TEK remote that looks like a writing pen, which is pretty cool!

I have been wearing the Pures for a week now and there are indeed great HAs. Last Friday I took a walk at dusk and heard crickets. And I really like the Tek remote and the BlueTooth capability.
I saw a picture of the new pen style remote and it is very nice, though it doesn’t have BlueTooth.

Really? I thought that the new pen had Bluetooth campatibility. Where did you hear that it doesn't?

Maybe I’m making an assumption I shouldn’t have, but the pen is small and I didn’t think it’s size allowed for Bluetooth and on the Siemens website descriptions the Tek is listed as having the Bluetooth feature and the ePen isn’t. I thought the ePen was a replacement for the ProPocket. I pulled this from the website I was looking at:
• Tek™ is the optional wireless enhancement system that connects you to the sounds you love. Paired with select Motion hearing instruments, you can enjoy stereo sound from your Bluetooth® wireless technology enabled mobile phone, MP3 player, and more – transforming your hearing instruments into a stereo headset. The Tek Connect remote control streams audio as well as provides one-touch control of various hearing instrument settings.
• ePen™ is the ultra-discreet, pen-like remote that slips into your pocket or purse and gives you control over your Motion.
• ProPocket™ is Siemens traditional remote control for Motion instruments.

I called Siemens and asked them-- you are right, the pen remote control is not currently available with Bluetooth, however they will be releasing the Bluetooth compatible one later in the spring.

Very interesting. I wonder if I can convince my audiologist to switch my Tek for the new one when it is produced.

I can confirm that there is no plan to incorporate Bluetooth compatibility in ePen, either in the spring or beyond, sorry.

My choice is the PURE. It's nearly invisible, completely discreet. Great technology in a ultra-small design. Powerful, effortless, and wirelessly connected, it lets you be yourself. It comes in a large selection of styles, and several subtle hair and skin tones.

The Pure is a good hearing aid with good sound quality, but you still have to wear a device around your neck to utilize even the cell phone. The first company that makes a stand alone blue tooth enabled aid for the cell phone will get the same advantage as Widex did when it developed the digital hearing aid two years before anyone else.
