Sonic Ion or Touch

I've found that i have quite the hearing loss and I've come to realize that i do in fact need a hearing aid especially for my work where people speak softly.

There are so many choices of hearing aids and quite frankly, feel a little overwhelmed. The doctor gave me to choices of Sonic aids, the Ion and the Touch. She seems to want me to get the touch but its $1200 more than the Ion. Its newer, smaller, and seems to be better in general.

Any thoughts or experiences that involve the Sonics?

I've heard that the Touch is a good product. Sonic just doesn't make any money so they'll be going out of business soon. Think about your investment.

It doesn't really matter whether or not the company makes any money. If they go under then someone else will but them out and support their products. Is there another product that is similar to the Sonic aids that are recommended?

You may want to try Phonak, Oticon, or Seimens instead.

The Ion is the nicer aid but it is definitely an older technology. The fitting software isn't too great.
