Thoughts on S-9 or S-7

i've got an appt to go see the audiologist tomorrow and will likely be ordering a new hearing aid. he suggested a Starkey because i have feedback problems and he says Starkey has the best feedback technology. I have to have the volume adjusted high enough so that i can hear. does anyone use either the S-7 or S-9 and could you tell me how they work for you and if you are happy with them?
I just finished my 2nd week with a Starkey S11, which looks to have the same feedback control as the S7 and S9. I don't get feedback with them, even when I put my headphones on over them and my headphones are the kind that fit around the ears, rather than on top of them. It's pretty hard to MAKE them squeal. Covering an ear with my hand works, but only for a second or maybe less. Squealing is just not part of the way they work.
These are my first hearing aids, so I'm obviously a newbie and really have no expertise on hearing aids, but I am a wearer and so far I've been very pleased with them.
