closed or open domes?

For the first time I am trying closed domes. Though I'm not sure I like them. I can hear myself chew food and it drives me nuts! Also they "tickle" my canals which can be uncomfortable and aggrivating. They do stay in my ear much easier and I think I can hear a little better. What are other people's experiences with the two types of domes?

Whether you have open or closed domes is based on the type of hearing loss you have. If your low frequency hearing loss is about 35 db or higher you'll probably be needing closed domes. In other words, good low frequency hearing with most of the hearing loss in the high frequencies usually requires open domes.
