Static in New aids

Yesterday I just got my first pair of hearing aids, a pair of Widex 330s. At first I was very excited as I was really able to hear and they did a good job.
But late last night and then today too I've been hearing a constant static. Some voices I hear are slightly distorted. I'm a musician and the best way for me to describe it is of an amp or speaker thats turned up too high and causing distortion and overdrive.
My audi left for vacation and I alredy tried changing the batteries. I'm hoping its just a calibration problem or something. Any advice or experience with what I'm talking about?

I was having the similiar problem with my Widex Inteo. I was able to get rid of the static by using the music program and the sound became much cleaner. There wasn't any noise in silence though. I'd suggetst you use the music program and if that helps then the noise is cause by master program, the extra signal processing which deals with feedback reduction and noise cancellation. You also may want to consider turning them off, depeding on your hearing loss.
I now have Oticon Agils and I find that the sound is much clearer and I don't notice any noise at all.
